Tree Plantation Report

Occasion: World Environment Day
Organized by: Ardhnarishwar Jankalyan Foundation

Activity:

On the occasion of  "World Environment Day" , the Ardhnarishwar Jankalyan Foundation successfully conducted a tree plantation drive on 5th June 2025 in Rajaji Puram, Lucknow to promote environmental sustainability and awareness among the community.

As part of this initiative, two trees were planted:

  • Ashoka Tree (Polyalthia longifolia)
  • Oleander Tree (Nerium oleander)

Objective:

The main objective of this plantation was to contribute towards a greener environment, encourage public participation in afforestation, and raise awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change, reducing pollution, and improving biodiversity.

Outcome:

  • Both saplings were planted in well-prepared soil beds.
  • Watering and mulching were done post-plantation.
  • Responsibility for the regular care and maintenance of the saplings has been assigned to our local volunteers.

Impact:

Though small in number, this plantation drive marks a step forward in our commitment to protecting the environment. These trees, once grown, will provide shade, purify the air, and enhance the aesthetic beauty of the area.

Future Plan:

The foundation aims to conduct larger-scale plantation drives in the upcoming monsoon season, involving school children and local communities for greater impact.

Spreading the Light of Happiness – Diwali Celebration in Lucknow by Ardhnarishwar Jankalyan Foundation On 20th October , during the joyous festival of Diwali , the Ardhnarishwar Jankalyan Foundation team celebrated the festival of lights in Lucknow with a mission to spread smiles and share happiness with children from underprivileged communities. In the true spirit of Diwali — symbolizing light, hope, and togetherness — our volunteers distributed N amkeen, Toffees, Perk chocolates, Chips, and Frooti to children across local areas. The excitement and laughter that filled the air reflected the pure joy of giving and the essence of the festival itself.
